What sets Dustex apart
With over 70 years of experience in the Air Pollution Control (APC) Industry, Dustex continues to supply its customers with innovative clean air solutions through a wide range of disciplines. Operating as a fully functional design, installation, & commissioning supplier, Dustex focuses on remaining highly efficient & cost effective using Dustex’s technical solutions that have been developed to handle your emissions control needs. Through Dustex’s access to vast technical archives and expertise regarding air filtration, gas cooling & gas scrubbing systems and newly developed APC equipment, Dustex continues to be in the forefront of the APC market.
Dustex’s growth is a result of its development of over 20 patents, offering turnkey projects that address control of particulate matter, heavy metals, non-condensable & acid gases, VOCs, and HAPs.
We strive to be your single source from the design through to decades of efficient APC at your facility. Our aftermarket parts and control panel assembly divisions located in Acworth, Georgia, and our captive shop in Ohio enable us to provide quality equipment, parts, and service.
We currently market our products through a network of North American and international independent manufacturers’ agents, as well as licensees in overseas locations. We appreciate the continued relationships with our customers, dating back to as early as the 1960s.
“Dustex has been a good provider of information on design, operational, and maintenance issues associated with the scrubber and has always provided requested information and on-site support in a timely manner.”
Established in 1947, we offer unique technical advantages which differentiate our products and technologies through our turnkey and equipment supply with our design and engineering team.
We have installations in over 20 different countries and 50 different industries and applications. Our areas of expertise include control for particulate matter, heavy metals, non-condensable & acid gases, VOCs, and HAPs, utilizing: Circulating Dry Scrubber (CDS), Fabric Filter, E-Tube® Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP), GeoTherm® II Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO), GeoCat® II Regenerative Catalytic Oxidizer (RCO), Activated Carbon Injection (ACI) System, Dry Sorbent Injection (DSI) System, SCR/SNCR, Gas Conditioning Tower, Wet and Venturi Scrubbers, Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger, High Efficiency Cyclone, Multi-clone, and Cartridge Collector.
While Dustex was founded in 1947, the major growth and technology development that impacts the air emissions control market today was in 1998. Since 1998, our engineering and product solutions team started to develop new particulate matter control designs, as well as air pollution control equipment for gas control.
From 2007 to 2014, Dustex continued to organically add “systems” clean air technologies to its portfolio, patenting these technologies and staying ahead of new air pollution control regulations. In 2008 and 2012, we installed our 1st Circulating Dry Scrubber (CDS) and then our 1st Activated Carbon Injection (ACI) System.
In October of 2014, Insight Equity acquired Dustex in the interest of growth potential and addition of new technologies, becoming Dustex LLC. The first of these acquired technologies was in November of 2014, Sparstane Technologies, which partners with coal fired utilities to convert waste streams to beneficial use products.
In March of 2016, Dustex acquired Lundberg to serve as a single source EPC global supplier of clean air technologies and process solutions.
Dustex continues to grow the business both nationally and internationally, in all industry segments. Our continued growth is supported through independent sales representatives around the globe.
Today, Dustex has evolved into a full-service designer and manufacturer of clean air technologies with unparalleled in-house engineering expertise operating with the leadership team’s daily involvement in customer interaction and project execution.
“We are well satisfied with the Dustex equipment operation and performance. After normal startup tuning, the unit has performed with the design specifications and met the expectations of the facility’s operating team.”
In 1998, Dustex made two major strategic changes to grow and serve the needs of several industries by creating an Engineered Systems Division for custom design of APC equipment and adding the use of a captive fabrication shop. The captive fabrication shop, Pickaway Machine, located in Kingston, Ohio, continues to solely fabricate for Dustex. Today, our Air Pollution Control Division, located in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, has completed over 600 major installations. These installations include systems for military and university boiler flue gas filtration, glass furnace particulate and acid gas dry scrubbing, steel and foundry furnace fume control, cement nuisance and process particulate control, non-ferrous furnace and refining fume control, foundry cupola heat recovery and particulate control, aluminum recycle fume control, and acid gas dry scrubbing, rock products, coal handling, industrial boiler and other major markets with complete system design, gas cooling and filtering equipment, and field services.
From 2007 to 2014, Dustex continued to develop APC pre-engineered and engineered systems’ technologies, patenting these technologies and staying ahead of emissions regulations. In the interest of meeting all APC needs today and in the future, Dustex continues to grow. Sparstane Technologies, our most recent addition, enables the conversion of scrubber waste to saleable products.
Today, Dustex has evolved into a full-service designer & manufacturer of multi-pollution control systems with unparalleled in-house engineering expertise working both nationally & internationally. Dustex continues to operate with the owner and the leadership team’s daily involvement in customer interaction & project execution.
